Moxibustion and Flame cupping

Moxibustion is a form of therapy that entails the burning of the herb mugwort on various acupressure points and or above or below injuries.

This is a small, spongy herb that enhances healing. The leaves are burnt close to the skin's surface using a stick to apply heat.‌

The practice is derived from Chinese medicine.A moxi box can be used too, usually applied over the kidneys to help tonify deficiences.

Flame cupping, also known as cupping therapy, is a treatment technique that places glass, bamboo, or plastic jars on the skin to enhance circulation, relieve pain, and extract toxins from the body.

Flame is used to remove the air from the cup and is then placed on the body. Marks will be left on the body and can take up to a week to dissapear.
